Pump the brakes a few times to seat the brakes. Replace the caliper on the adapter on the rotor. Place the inboard and outboard pad in the caliper. Remember that the springs are not interchangeable. Install the top and bottom anti-rattle springs. Use brake grease to lubricate the springs. Remove the clamp and wood or brake pad.Ĭlean the caliper and the anti-rattle pins. ![]() ![]() Put a piece of wood or an old brake pad between the clamp and the piston. Use a C-clamp to bottom, or align, the piston with the caliper bore. Keep track of the springs because they are not interchangeable. Also remove the top and bottom anti-rattle springs. Remove the inboard and outboard brake pads from the caliper. Suspend the caliper housing so that you do not damage the brake hose. Slide the caliper off of the disc brake and suspend it near the disc brake with a small bungee cord or coat hanger. ![]()
